MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

New York State Certificate as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. New York State License as a speech pathologist (preferred) and bilingual (preferred).


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conduct initial evaluations to determine speech/language needs of child.

2. Provide quality speech therapy services to students as mandated on the IEP/IFSP.

3. Consult and interface with colleagues at weekly team meetings.

4. Provide parent training and ongoing communication with parents.

5. Complete all required paperwork and documentation.

6. Provide in-service training and participate in staff development activities.

7. Meet with supervisor on ongoing basis.
