This role will provide mentorship and supervision over junior project management staff related to specific project duties. Manage the execution of assigned portfolio of capital projects from conceptual to close out. Responsibilities include but not limited to meeting with key stakeholders, hospital personnel, administrators, outside consultants, vendors, and contracts. Project responsibilities also include oversight and report of budget, schedule and quality control of projects. Maintain record documents for projects. Education/Skills: Bachelors Degree. Ten (10) plus years of experience. Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Architect (RA) License a plus. Must already process or obtain within 12 months of employment accredited health care facility construction/management certificate such as American Hospital Associate- Certified Healthcare Constructor (AHA CHC) or American Hospital Associate- Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (AHA CHFM). Experience as owner's representative in healthcare facilities. -Computer competency required; use of electronic file management, e-Builder (or simular project management software), Microsoft Office suite, and MS Project. ACAD proficiency preferred. -Overall Management: Ability to manage consultants (architect, engineer etc), correct issues/road blocks to ensure project meets completion and expectations of end user efficiently; on time & on budget. -Design Capacity: Knowledge of design techniques, tools, & principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, & models. -Building & Construction: Knowledge of pre/post construction phases; NYC Regulatory codes and standards; NYS DoH codes & standards. -Project Management: Understand urgency of projects & ability to conduct time efficient project delivery. Close coordination with end users to obtain information, decisions & approval to move project forward. Facilitate timely reply to request information (RFI's) by AE. Accurate documentation all phases of project. Ensure project closeout is completed for all projects within 6 months of project occupancy. -Customer & Personal Service: Knowledge of principles & processes to provide customer service; includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services & evaluation of customer satisfaction. Interpersonal skills dealing with clinicians, administrative, front-line associates & outside vendors. Establish respectful & productive relationship with stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction. -Critical Thinking: Use logic & reasoning to identify strengths & weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions/approaches to problems. -Judgment & Decision Making: considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. -Communication Proficiency: Superior communication, written, oral, and presentation skills.
