Job Description
The CPG division of Microchip Technology tat design and develop for
the major computer manufacturers is looking fo a principal level
validation engineer position to be located in our Hauppauge office.
Your major responsibilities will include:
* Validation of analog blocks (temperature monitors, ADC, etc.).
These analog blocks are embedded in CPG product. The job involves
the development of hardware (boards, instrumentation) and software
(ARM EC test firmware, PC test software, software utilities).
Also, you will define the test plan and methodology for these
* Contribute to the definition of evaluation boards and test
* Contribute to the definition of FPGA development boards
As a part of product development, you will be involved in resolving
issues in customer applications and supporting internal groups such as
Test and QA to get the part production worthy.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities and duties:
* Responsible for the validation of analog blocks
* Develop the test plan and methodology
* Develop the hardware and test instrumentation
* Develop PC host test software
* Develop EC ARM test firmware
* Write validation reports
* Contribute to the development of evaluation boards and test
* Contribute to the development of FPGA boards
* Investigate and resolve customer issues
* Work with internal groups to get the part production worthy
Qualifications and skills
* Degree in BSEE or higher
* Preferably more than 10 years experience on:
* Testing of analog blocks - temperature monitors, ADC,
thermistors, comparators, band gap reference, voltage
regulator, PLL
* Board design
* Test software development
* Embedded fimware development
* Hardware and software debug
* Proficient on:
* Visual Studio
* Keil tools
* Orcad, Altium design tools
* Labview
* Strong team player, proactive and motivated
