Our client, a global asset management firm, is seeking an IT Project Manager to focus on Corporate Facility projects including, moveopendensificationexpansion, etc. They are undertaking now a 4 year renovation and move at their main corporate office. Further, they are opening offices in the next 2 years throughout the United States and abroad! The Technology Construction Project Manager will manage technology projects to respond to the clients changing physical real-estate presence, to include new office openings, closings and modifications including densifications and expansions. This individual will work with various technology towers and Corporate Facilities to affect seamless office openings or migrations. As Technology Construction Project Manager, you will be... A part of the team that does all infrastructure at the firm but will be concentrating specifically on these office construction projects. Managing the projects - working with the technical teams, vendors, architects etc. Very visible to the Founders of the organization. Someone who understands general networking concepts, broad understanding overall of desktops, internet, phone set ups and will participate with the ordering through the set-up. Working with the local vendors to get all the network switches in place, telephone lines, etc. RESPONSIBILITIES Site Selection, Design Prep Meet with the Project team to discuss to the project criteria, schedule, limitations, design objectives as well as general policies, guidelines, space standards and priorities that will guide the work. Advise the project team of any concerns regarding the criteria and preliminary planning. Prepare preliminary technology budgets, based on historical spend, with input from Technology tower leads. Develop and manage master project plan, schedules, and critical milestones. Coordinate issues, interface with Technology Tower disciplines as required. Review MDFIDF Design. Provide base power cooling requirements for MDFIDFHub rooms to building engineers. Prepare Rack elevations and equipment layout with server rooms with assistance of internal tech teams. Prepare Ethernet cabling requirements for electrician or architect Project Kickoff Management Assist with bidding (when required), equipment purchasing, PO creation, and ordering. Maintain matrix of resources, contacts. Consolidate Organize build documentation. Develop maintain a Master IT project schedulesplans. Coordinate with project participants. Coordinate and track equipment delivery, customs issues, installation logistics. Hold regular Project coordination meetings as required and track action items. Provide regular status reports escalate critical issues. Occasional senior management presentations. Track project spend actuals against earlier budget estimates. Provide day-to-day technology coordination and oversight onsite during the construction phase Project Closedown Process Improvement Transition site management to operations teams Maintain relationships with key vendors (carriers, common hardware providers) Maintain regularly review Site Operational documentation runbooks for NOC Maintain typical component pricing for future financial estimates for proposed projects PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS 7+ years prior experience in Technology aspect of office relocation or office construction Understanding of basic networking concepts Will require occasional travel to various new locations worldwide Effective communication project management skills ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Bachelorrsquos Degree in Computer Science or Civil Engineering preferred Associated topics: chief program officer, cpo, manage, manager, management, monitor, product manager, project manager, relationship manager, task
