Job Description: The incumbent interacts with Geographic Information System (GIS) technicians and end users to support projects and programs that benefit from GIS data management and mapping. Responsibilities/Duties: Responsibilities focus on the presentation, analysis and interpretation of data and mapping in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Responsible for engineering support relating to resources and facilities support, database planning and design, systems analysis and design, network services, programming, conversion and implementation support, network services project support, data/records support, and other computer related services. Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects with frequent customer contact, such as with the Emergency Office Center (EOC). Qualifications: o Education: Bachelor s degree o Experience: GIS experience required is 5 years with a BA/BS; 3 years with an MA/MS; 1 year with a PhD o Skills/Traits: - Ability to communicate clearly orally and in written communications. - An understanding of commonly used geographic and engineering concepts and terminology. o Certifications: must qualify for a Secret Security clearance once contract is awarded and maintain it for the life of the contract.
