CASCADES CONTAINERBOARD PACKAGING The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States. Your challenge! Upon completion of your intensive training program, you will be responsible for hands-on operations of the company's financial team, directing Cascades overall financial policies and driving profitable growth. Job Responsibilities Streamline reporting, forecasting and analysis to drive superior decision-making; identify areas that provide low value and work to reallocate resources to provide more meaningful information for decision support. Collaborate and partner with the Plant Manager and various leaders to support the daily operations of the plant and guide production and inventory management, costs and variances, and cost analysis of new products. Prepare annual budget for the plant. Balance Sheet reconciliation. Ensure accuracy of internal and external financialreporting; ensure that effective internal controls are in place and compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and taxreporting. Conduct detailed analytical reviews of sales, gross margins, operating cost and profit margins by served industries, customer, and value propositions. Provide and present management with applicable financialreports and analysis monthly. Take ownership of the accounting and finance functions. Desired experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment with 5+ years of managerial experiencerequired. SAP experience is highly preferred; Cost Accountingexperience is preferred. Additional information Based in our plant in Schcenectady, NY for the duration of the training, the person can be based also in Piscataway, NJ and will need to be willing to possibily relocate.
