### Summary

The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is for U.S.
Citizens and Non-Citizens who reside within a 30-mile radius of West
Point. (Military Spouses moving to the area within 30 days from the
closing date of this announcement and Involuntarily Separated
Military (ISM) members claiming ISM Preference are included in this
area of consideration.)

**This position is located at the West Point MWR Fitness Center.**

### Responsibilities

- Assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of a
fitness facility. Circulates among patrons to assure service is
satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on
the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
- Assists in setting up for instructors, contractors, events,
athletic activities, and related functions. Performs facility
cleanliness and/or monitors contracts.
- Assists with publicity of programs and events and assists with
the delivery and placement of posters, flyers and other
promotional material.
- Issues/receives equipment to authorized users. Monitors fitness
equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or
replacement as appropriate. Cleans and performs minor
maintenance on facility equipment.

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this
- A one year probationary period may be required
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify)
- Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance
on duty
- Must be willing to accept varying and/or rotating shifts to
include early mornings (reporting as early as 5:00AM), nights,
weekends and holidays.
- Must possess the following within 6 months of employment: MWR
Orientation Course, Customer Service.

### Qualifications

1. Possess related work experience that includes the demonstrated
ability to perform the duties of the position as indicated above.
Such duties could include: providing information and general
instruction on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery;
assist in setting up for events, etc.
